Brush Holder

I found this cool little thing at target and decided it might be good for holding my brushes :)

I like it because of the dividers. Right now it's separated by face brushes(excuse my dirty foundation brush) and eye brushes. I found this at Target in the bathroom/home furnishings/decor section. It comes with a lid, just so you know. I believe the price was $3.99

Leishi Eyeshadows

EDIT: I will see if I can get some better pictures that show the color better.

My friend Eva sent me a bunch of make up the other day. I must say, I'm absolutely enjoying playing with everything! Thanks Eva :) .
So tonight, I decided to try on a couple of Leishi eyeshadows and somehow came out with a shimmery purple smokey eye. So maybe because I didn't use a primer, the white showed up as being a little blue. I mixed it with the magenta-redish color and got a nice shimmery purple.

Here are the two main colors I used:
I also used a dark purple for the crease and black for the outer v, both colors are from the Coastal Scents 88 palette.

Here are swatches of the colors.
From top to bottom: white, magenta-red, mix of magenta-red and white.

L'oreal HIP High Intensity Pigment

Sorry it took so long to update! I went to Texas...

So, I tried out the L'oreal eyeshadow and I really like it. I don't use much, so it goes on as a sheer shimmery pink. Here's a picture, I added a little extra so the color would come out better.  On the right, in the picture, is Milani  Easyliner for Eyes (glitter) and the color is 03 Purple Quartz. I haven't really used this one yet, but it goes on pretty smoothly and I love the color so far. Also, the eyeliner pencil comes with a built in pencil sharpener.

Custom Creations Review

Hmm..I was kind of happy with this at first, but then I went back the next day and wasn't so happy.  I feel like I wasted most of it trying to find the right color. It's not an instant color match, you have to pump out the old stuff first before the new color comes. I realized the color that was my match was actually a mix between the old color and the new color coming out :( . Bottom line, I would suggest buying two colors and mixing them.

Today's finds..

So I usually use Makeup Forever HD foundation (175), but I'm trying to save money, it's about $40. So I decided to try Revlon's Photoready. I've heard good things about Photoready, but there's not much of a color selection. I picked cappucino, knowing the next one was too dark. Capuccino would have worked if it didnt have such an orange tint to it! I can get away with it, but I can tell the difference when I put it on. Here's a picture of it...

So today, I went to target in search of a couple of things. I looked at Revlon's foundations again, hoping that the Colorstay line would have more colors, but no luck, not in the store at least. But I found this Revlon Custom Creations. It has two shades and you turn the knob at the top to make the foundation color lighter or darker. I'm excited to try this one, wish me luck!

Also I found a purple eyeliner and a pink pigment eyeshadow...Here's a picture of the eyeshadow, it's by L'oreal HiP. It also comes with an application brush.

I'll have to make another post  with swatches and product reviews :)

Maybelline Eyestudio

I went to the store the other day because I needed a new gel eyeliner. However, the one I usually use, the L'oreal Hip one was over 10 bucks, so I decided to try something new. I settled on Maybelline Eyestudio. The brush for this gel eyeliner(as seen in the pic) is a lot better than the brush that came with the L'oreal gel liner. Although this brush is better, I still prefer the eyeliner brush I got from the Clinique kiosk. It seems to pick up more which makes it come out a lot darker. As for the gel itself, I think it goes on a little smoother than the L'oreal.
